boyJunior members (& their parents) are a very important part of the Club.
The Junior section is run by the Club’s Junior Committee.

A full range of events, competitions and tournaments are organised throughout the year, together with a comprehensive coaching programme – something for all Junior members to enjoy and benefit from.

JUNIOR CLUB NIGHT – organised play and activities
Friday evenings in 2 sessions:
– School years 6 and below are given priority use of the courts between 4.00pm and 5.30pm,
– School year 7 and above from 5.30p.m. to 7.00p.m.
Children in School Year 2 and below must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
The ‘Tuck Shop’ – open from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. serves a range of food and refreshments.

A Junior & Senior mix-in social session is run on Friday evenings from 7p.m. during the summer. (with BBQ food provided) – where parents and senior members are encouraged to play and mix-in with the Junior players.

Junior League & Cup Teams: We enter Boys & Mixed teams in the local North East Cheshire League, at various age levels and also in the National Junior Club League, played locally within Cheshire.

girlJunior Coaching: Our structured coaching programme sees players starting to play tennis as young as five years old and continuing on through to become senior members of the Club.
Coaching is available all year round in groups, small squads and private lessons year round (for members and non-members.)  There is a full range of courses available for all ages and abilities, starting with Mini Tennis through to National Level Performance Coaching.

Our regular courses run during the school term time on Saturday mornings.

School Holiday Camps: Tennis Camps are provided during the school holidays (for both members and non-members.) There will be full day and half day sessions. Details will be advertised in advance.

Junior Safeguarding:  All employees of the Club (including the Coaches) undergo a DBS check.   The Club appoints a dedicated Welfare Officer who is available to approach about any concerns or worries that parents or junior members may have.  (welfare@blltc.co.uk)
