There are regular Junior Coaching group sessions at the Club during term time on most days. These are graded according to ability and age: (for information on Mini Tennis for 3-10 year olds open here.)
During school holidays the Club runs regular tennis camps. These are both full and half-day sessions between 10.00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Arrangements can be made for juniors to be dropped off and picked up outside these times – but this requires the agreement of the Club Coaches. These camps are available to both members and non-members – details are publicised on these web pages and to members via email.
Private lessons are the best way for an individual to improve their skills and iron out their weaknesses. Please discuss your needs with one of the Club Coaches and they will guide you to the best programme to best address your requirements. Only authorised BLLTC Club coaches can provide professional coaching at the Club.
The coaches run a varied and changing coaching programme for Adult members throughout the year – varying from beginner’s classes, fitness classes through to team and match-play classes. The Current Programme is listed here. Please keep an eye open for updates on the web site for details.
Non-members may attend but pay a small additional Non-Member-Fee.
Fancy A Hitting Session
Practice, practice, practice – repetition is the main way to improve your technique and consistency.
The Club have a number of level-1 coaches who are willing (for a small fee for their time) to provide a hitting session to help iron out those wrinkles or practice what you have just covered with a coach. These are currently James Wilson-Knight, Matty Cooper, Joshua Edmonson and Lucas Edmonson.

Tennis Tykes is a tennis play and coaching programme for 2-4 year olds which is taught at the club by Jonny Healey. The great emphasis is on fun and we use modified mini tennis equipment (small nets, sponge balls and adapted rackets). The classes develop children’s basic co-ordination, agility and balance while at the same time also promote social interaction and develop confidence, language and listening skills.
Classes are currently held indoors at the Club on a Monday morning – open to both members and non-members.. If Monday is inconvenient please contact Jonny for other days at alternative locations.
